A Ferro Alloy is an iron alloy that contains a substantial amount of one or more other elements, such as Silicon, Manganese, Chromium, Aluminium, or Titanium. Ferro Alloys are primarily used in the production of steel. To enhance qualities like strength, ductility, and fatigue or corrosion resistance, they are added to steel. Ferro Alloys are also capable of performing a number of other duties, including Refinement, Deoxidation, Modification, and control of Non-Metallic inclusions and precipitates. The primary recovery (reduction) of required metals from natural minerals is the fundamental duty of the ferroalloys industry and is a key step in the manufacturing chain between mining and steel and alloys metallurgy.
